Here it is....the grand finale!!!!

Jenny Sitagata
ENC1101: Bridgman
The Mona Lisa is a painting which influences not only the people who are in immediate

contact with it but for those who simply look at the piece of work that has intrigued the world for

the past centuries. The Mona Lisa is one of the wonders of the art world. As a text it is

considered it has quite a serious tone and a style that is complex and yet simplistic. The painting

does have smooth, clean lines and precise handy work. Amongst all the components, the

painting has a huge historical context. It has been revered as a painting before its time. It’s way

of relating to people and making them feel as if they completely understand the piece makes it

such a piece of art.

-when was she made

-where was she painted

-why was she a girl? Why not a guy?

-is it a girl due to the fact to the fact that women can make people more conscience of who they
are and what kind of person they have become due to the decisions they have been?

-why is she so dark (concerning her colors)?

-was the purpose for her to be mysterious and intriguing?

-why is she underneath a ton of glass and high surveillance?

-What was behind Leonardo’s thoughts when he painted her?

-was she an actual girl in his worlds?

-why was she not younger?

-why did he not sell her?

-what is her actual worth in this day and age?

-why does she seem so serious and yet so childish?

-did he plan on her having being so diverse?

-was she originally a gift?

-why do people say that her eyes follow them around?

-is that what Leonardo had in mind?

The Mona Lisa is a painting full of mystic wonder and beauty. Her diplomatic smile and

suggesting eyes have been plaguing the world for the past centuries. It is an amazing fact that

such a miniature canvas with oil paints could have such an affect on the world. The act of

expressing one’s thoughts and being able to be share it with the world must be absolutely

exhilarating. Comprehending that one small visual could be so many things to some many people

is mind boggling and unfathomable. The world has been enriched by the what this painting

brings.

the fine line of the pen and fthe keyboard

Life is surrounded by writing. The influence of writing is unnoticeable. In this journal, it's primary purpose is to ponder on what people these days view of the concept of writing in contrast of the computer and the pen.

I agree with Christina Hass that our view of writing has evolved from the quill to the ever sheik touch screen "typing". I believe that we as a generation could not imagine ourselves without modern technology. Our culture can viewed as advanced or as handicapped. I mean we have been blessed with the easy accessibility to put our thoughts on a screen and have the ability to publish it to the world. But on the other hand, we have drifted from the originality of writing. If for some freak reason, the Internet and all computers were to crash, how would our society handle the outage? Writing should be the mixture of technology and manual labor of the hand and paper. I can understand where Carl Rashke is coming from. From my understanding, he is saying that we are too dependent on technology, which is a very good assumption. We have overall have surpassed the age of hand writing things down. I mean writing is not the only thing that has transferred over to the Internet.

In Peter Hall's writing, he gives a peak into a potential virtual life that we can obtain by only subscribing to a website. We as a people/civilization have not just put our thoughts in front of the world; we can even create our own versions of what we believe we are. We can mold our lives in what we want. Writing is not the only thing that has evolved. People can make up their own worlds, friends, loves, and identities. Technology in this class has opened my eyes. Before I was very skeptical about this transition for me. I have used the traditional method of computers and typing. I had never used the computer in my writings before. I think this class has showed my mind how to be a little more free in how i express myself. I have a little more power to write what i really feel because I know that someone out there in the world will read what I think is important.
Technology has transformed the world. It has the power to turn an ordinary paper into something fantastic and vivacious. It has the ability to help someone who dislikes their life by giving them the chance to escape the real world and have a life they only dreamed of. Like Hall said, "..it is a life in which anyone can transcend the societal and physical constraints they feel are unavoidable in reality; a simple life of manifested dreams."(Bishop, 403)

horror

Columbine::
my heart was beating faster as i heard the shots. BANG...BANG..BANG. i heard sady scream. i spotted the gleam of the silver barrel and the jet black handle. At that very moment the etch of the gun was forever sketched in my mind. Everyone's faces were pale and full of shock. my heart was starting to return to normal beat then he stepped into my class room. HE stood at the FRONT of the CLASSROOM. the BLOOD of two of MY Friends were on HIS HANDs!!!

the image enhances the story. the audience sees what the author has etched in their mind. you see the thing that she is haunted by everyday of her life!!!

The paper!!!!

The Four Elements are alignment, contrast, repition, and proximity. According to the author, if you apply all these techniques you will have a webpage that attracts the reader and pulls them in.
Starting with alignment, it refers to the chronilogical pattern in the paper that catches the reader's eye. It gives order to the papaper such as structure that the reader knows the flow of the paper. It also includes contrast which entails the text, color, and image. Next is repition which incorporates the visual with the text. The last topic is proimity which is the way the webpage is set up.

My web page is appealing. I need to add my second paper though. But visuals i have for the second paper are quite good. they enhance the paper!!

The Austen

posted October 25th:)

Bride and Prejudice:

-the audience is more of ethnic and diverse

-the audience is more strict and based on tradition

-based around the culture and the beliefs

-the girls are completely tied into there families.

-families that are big and or are together will want to see this

-the family is presented and then the boys

-the girls are convincing the boys to fall for their family

-the movie is full of color and glitter: very happy and up beat. it raises your spirits.

-has more of an exotic font that shows the festive mood

-the girls wear traditional wear and they are not concerned with the whole impressing the guys

-they are confident in who they are and how they present themselves

-more realistic and applicable to today

-more humor "it looks like you just screw a light bulb with one hand and pet the dog with the other."

-they are more musical

-these girls seek real love and genuine

-it has a ton of comedic relief

-it will attract the people who love to laugh and love to smile.

-they are a story about the odd ones who find love in the oddest people

Pride and Prjudice:

-the audience is classic and very white to be quite frank

-the audience is more traditional

-they are more superficial per se in contrast with the opposite movie. they are more concerned of the feelings and what the girl and guy feel

-single white girls who want a good suspensful chic flick movie will watch

- the girls are seen. then the squacking mother. the squandering fight between the boy and girl.

-the girls are trying to find and express the love between them.

-the colors are quite mundane. they are mute and the font is one of a fine quill pen. it shows the time of the eliquant things.

-the girls are concerned in impressing the guys. they are a little uncertain about their postion in the man's eye. they are more self conscious.

-they are very quick with words and very witty. they knew how to express their feelings.

"i loathe him for all eternity."

-they are more concerned about rank and having a well and wealthy life style mixed in with love

-they are very observant concerning the romantic part of things such as hands brushing and the ever powere

Alight amidst the darkness.

-the back characters. the unimportant characters.
-the main people are the the white ones. they are the ones who have the contrast adn stand out more!
-I think it is a sketch. It is suppose to be a raw piece that focuses on the main actors.
-The reader visualizes that it is a very poor time and it is rough for the middle and lowers classes.
-I remember to the line" It's a natzi trap." I remember the fact that it was said when the natzi were invading.
-Those lines are used for the times they were intended for. Not exactly for now!
-The words would not be sufficient. I think without the pictures the words lose their effect. They are essential. They help the reader visulize!
-The text is essential and goes along with pictures. THey are smooth.
-The tone is very depressing and very solemn. It makes the reader realize that the natzis were areal thing.
-The visual correlates with the text because it has the texture of the olden days. it represents the times. it was black and white which showed that they did not have the finances to have color.

The hidden family member!

-the management and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses.
-I chose this photo because it represents multiple feelings and emotions. The athletic trainer is putting his knowledge to work and trying to aide the injured athlete. He is on that field because that is his athlete who is lying their helpless and in agony. The athletic trainer devotes thousands of hours to their profession of preventing and helping athletes. They are essentially apart of the team. They walk the sidelines with the coaches, holler at you when you do a fantastic job, give you water whenyou are in need of it, and they fix your cuts and scrapes. They are just apart of the the team family. The athletic trainer hates to see any athlete in pain. You can see that the athletic trainer(AT) is focused and concentrating on getting that player ready to go back into the game.
-The athlete is going through scruntiny but completly trusts the AT. The athletic trainer has built such a strong relatinoship with the player that the player does not question the AT's abilities.
- This photo captures the essence of athletic training. It is fast pace job and requires the athletic trainer to be calm, cool, and collective. The pictures depicts that the athletic trainer has a huge responsibility. Yet, the athlete is expressing that he is suffering but he has given the AT full control. The picture is powerful due to the chemistry betweenthe AT and the athlete.
-I think the picture could become a commercial. Because athletic trainers are practtically never recognized for their accomplishments and contributions. It would emphasise the fact that the athlete has nothing to worry about he is in good hands?
ARE YOU?
